A Heart Full of Thanks
Nov 25, 2025
Happy Thanksgiving!
1 Chronicles 16:34 – “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!” (ESV)
This verse came immediately to mind as I sat down to write and typed those first words: Happy Thanksgiving. Variations of this verse appear throughout Scripture, but I am especially drawn to Psalm 136, where all 26 verses end with the same powerful refrain—
“…for His steadfast love endures forever.”
The King James puts it this way: “…for His mercy endureth for ever.”
A Season of Challenges and Growth
I began this blog in May, and these past seven months—both for Savor and for me personally—have brought more than a few challenges.
At Savor, Staci, Elizabeth, and I continue to pursue the mission we believe God has called us to, learning along the way to trust His timing. Honestly, this season has moved much slower than any of us expected. Each of us has walked through significant moments of growth and surrender.
For me, as I shared in a previous update, I’ve had to pause both exercise and donating blood due to iron issues that were discovered. Slowing down has been difficult, but also refining.
And yet, despite the setbacks, disappointments, and challenges, God’s love and mercy have endured.
We’ve watched God move in incredible ways in the lives of several women in our mentorship program. We’ve learned to surrender our own agendas and desires to His will. And we’ve grown deeper in our friendship with one another as we learn to talk honestly through differences in opinions and goals.
Gratitude That Endures
There are countless things I’m thankful for this year, but none more than this profound truth:
His Love Endures Forever.
Through every season.
Through every detour.
Through every challenge and every unexpected blessing.
Looking Ahead
This will be my final blog post for 2025, so let me go ahead and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I can’t wait to see what our God has in store for 2026.
May His steadfast love continue to carry you—today and always.
