Choosing Thankfulness in Every Season
Apr 15, 2026
Can you believe it is already the middle of April? The past month has been a crazy time, and I'm sure many of you can relate. Both my personal life and my work with Savor have seen some blessings and some challenges.
In moments like these, I’m reminded of 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
There was a time when I might have used this space to list every challenge—everything facing our country, my family, my work—and asked, why me? why now? But today, I’m choosing something different. Instead of focusing on the difficulties, I’m choosing gratitude. I’m choosing to praise the God who loves me more deeply than I can even comprehend.
So today, I praise Him for:
- Being present for family when they need us most
- The precious time I get to spend with my grandchildren
- Friends who check in just to see how I’m doing
- The encouraging testimonies from women who inspire me to keep walking in my calling
- And even the joy of looking forward to our cruise coming up in August
What are you thankful for today?
Before I close, I want to share one piece of exciting news—Savor has officially launched a YouTube channel! It’s still very new, and we are learning as we go, but our podcasts are now available on YouTube in addition to our website and anywhere else you listen to podcasts. If you haven’t joined Staci and Elizabeth before, now is a great time! We’re currently releasing a podcast from 2025 every day until we catch you up.
Father, I praise Your name above all names. Thank You that You are in control and have not forgotten me even amid the chaos of life. "I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth" (Psalm 34:1). In Jesus' name, amen.
Until next month,
