I hope you have had a wonderful summer!

For many of us, August ushers in a welcome return to routine. School starts back, vacations begin to wind down, and even the heat begins to relent—at least a little bit! We are also excited to get back in a routine at Savor Ministries. We have been preparing for a new season, and we have some exciting things happening that I can't wait to share with you. 

Season 6 of the Savor Podcast

This month, Staci and Elizabeth are back with Season 6 of the Savor Podcast! 

Each episode is filled with practical teaching, honest conversations, plenty of laughter, personal reflections, delicious recipes, and encouragement for everyday life! It is our desire for every woman to taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8).

Coming in September: Armor of God Bible Study

I am especially excited to share that we plan to release our free Armor of God Bible Study next month! 

This seven-session video Bible study includes a downloadable Companion Journal designed to help you dig deeper. Use it as a personal Bible study, gather with a few friends, or use it for your women's small group. However you choose to use it, our prayer is that it strengthens your faith and equips you with practical ways to stand firm in Christ.

If you missed last month's blog, I also shared some of the challenges I encountered while creating this study and a few of the lessons the Lord has taught me so far. This is my first video project of this size, and I have definitely been stretched beyond my comfort zone. Then again, that seems to be a recurring theme in my ministry with Savor!

As You Begin This New Season...

As the summer winds down and a new season of routine begins, let me encourage you to guard your heart and mind.

One of the enemy's favorite tactics is to keep us so busy that we neglect what matters most—spending time with God. Let me challenge you to write one of the verses below on a note card and tape it to your bathroom mirror. Read it every time you brush your teeth, wash your hands, or get ready for the day. 

"And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Colossians 3:17 (ESV)

or

"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
Matthew 6:33 (ESV)

Father, time passes so quickly, but I am grateful that You never change. Hebrews 13:8 assures me that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Help me stay close to You as I begin a new routine for this next season. Be quick to prick my heart when I allow busyness to come before You. Show me practical ways to fulfill my obligations while continuing to seek You first. My desire is to serve You, but I cannot do it in my own strength. Holy Spirit, come. In Jesus' mighty name, amen.
