I made it to the gym!
Jun 24, 2025Tuesday
Last week I gave you a challenge to move your body along with me. Well, as you can see, I made it to the gym! It isn't pretty, but I did promise to be real. 😄 When you are sweating after just getting ready to go work out, you definitely NEED the gym! By the time I walked into the lobby to check in, I was out of breath and ready to call it a day. Thankfully, after I put on my headphones, cranked up my music, and sat on that first machine, I felt that familiar sense of power return. I could feel my body stretching and strengthening as the music both gave me energy and reminded me that God is in this, and He is with me. Afterward, I felt great and even dared to make the video above!
Thursday
One thing I am sure of is that the enemy does NOT like me going to the gym. How do I know? Because he was very busy Thursday morning! I got up fairly early and was just starting to work on this blog a little after 8. I played the video above to make sure it loaded correctly, and I heard myself promise to be at the gym again on Thursday. Then it hit me - this was Thursday! How did it get here so fast? Well, I had to go since I had promised you all and myself. Then a thought came to me that was most definitely from the enemy! He said, "You could just put on different workout clothes and do another video then stay and work on the blog. They will never know!" 😈 WHAT? I could not believe that thought even crossed my mind! Well, I quickly shot him down and committed to be at the gym later that morning. I suddenly looked forward to going (kind of) and managed to get dressed and into the lobby without working up a sweat and being out of breath. Afterward, I felt incredible! If you are doing something that will help you serve God better, you can count on the enemy to try and stop you!
Thank you, Planet Fitness, for making a space for me to feel comfortable!
