Savoring the Journey

What was I thinking? I'm not qualilfied for this!

Hello beautiful ladies!

Thank you for taking the time to read my first blog! You may be asking what qualifies me to write a blog. That's a great question, and one I have been asking the Lord myself. I finally got my answer - NOTHING! Many bloggers can offer theological teaching, or share a life of extreme hardship and survival through Christ, or share a story of addiction and recovery. Those are wonderful testimonies that touch many lives! But what about the regular woman who is dealing with normal, everyday life and still struggling to walk in a manner worthy of the calling? At Savor, our desire is for every woman to taste and see that the Lord is good and to experience the abundant life Christ offers. That is what I feel God is nudging me to blog about. I am just a regular woman struggling with the same insecurities as you, or at least some you can relate to, doing my best to honor Christ every day.

 

 

The Journey

I hope you will walk with me as I begin this new journey of obedience. Let me encourage you to share your thoughts, fears, and questions. Psalm 139:14 says, "I will praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." He can use you as easily as He can use me. As women of faith, let's support each other instead of competing with each other. 

 

My Prayer

Father, I feel you are calling me to begin a blog to show what it looks like for a regular woman to walk out her faith in the real world. Some will do it better and some may struggle more, but my hope is that every woman who reads it may find comfort, hope, and encouragement in her own walk -- sprinkled with some laughter and possibly a few tears. My heart's desire is to honor you with my life. I fail miserably at times, but so did David. Thank you, Father, that failure is temporary but repentance brings refreshment. Your grace is sufficient, and your mercy is new every morning. In Jesus' name, amen.
