Cannot reasonably be explained in human abilities or other known worldly forces
Perceived as a direct act of God
Usually understood as a symbolic or sign value pointing to God
According to Sam Storms 5 categories of people
Cynical don’t believe at all and are snide and scornful
Skeptics believe they are extremely rare and they need lots of proof
Doubtful God sovereignly works miracles but without any agency of human beings and they don’t believe in the spiritual gift of working of miracles
Hopeful believes in miracles and the spiritual gift of working of miracles
Gullible believes everything without proof Was it a miracle?

So should Christians seek miracles today?
It depends on the motive

We should seek miracles if we have Christlike compassion for those in need and we desire to see the Kingdom of God come on earth as it is in heaven
